Connect your AI

Ask your AI about your business.

NUVI works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any app that speaks MCP. Add one URL, sign in, and ask what is owed, who has not sent their hours, or what changed on a board this week.

The server
https://api.nuvi.work/mcp

Paste this into your AI's connectors and sign in. Read-only, and it sees exactly what you see.

Step by step

Claude (claude.ai, desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it NUVI and paste https://api.nuvi.work/mcp as the URL. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty.
  3. Choose Connect. A NUVI window asks you to sign in and allow access; choose Allow.
  4. In a chat, turn NUVI on from the tools menu and ask away.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector for the organisation first; everyone then signs in with their own NUVI account.

ChatGPT

  1. Custom connectors need a plan that allows them, with developer mode switched on (Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced).
  2. Choose Create, name it NUVI, paste https://api.nuvi.work/mcp and pick OAuth.
  3. Sign in to NUVI when the window opens and choose Allow.

Claude Code

  1. Add the server, then run /mcp inside Claude Code and pick NUVI to sign in in your browser.
claude mcp add --transport http nuvi https://api.nuvi.work/mcp

Prefer a token? Create one in NUVI under Settings → AI access and add it as an Authorization: Bearer header instead.

Cursor and other MCP clients

  1. Add a remote (streamable HTTP) MCP server with the URL https://api.nuvi.work/mcp.
  2. Clients that support MCP sign-in open NUVI to ask for access. Clients that do not can send a personal token from Settings → AI access as a bearer header.

What it can see

  • Your workspaces, projects and the crew you work with
  • Chat rooms and messages you are in, and message search
  • Board cards and docs, including clip transcripts where there are any
  • Your timer, timesheets and hours by project, person and month
  • Approvals waiting on you and what has been approved
  • Invoices, what is owed, and what has been paid
  • Your notifications

What it can't do

  • Change anything. Every tool is read-only: nothing is sent, approved, edited or marked read.
  • See more than you can. A crew member’s AI sees their own hours and invoices, never other people’s rates.
  • Keep access after you take it away. Disconnect it in NUVI under Settings → AI access and it stops at once.

Questions

Is it safe?

Your AI signs in as you, through NUVI, and gets a read-only key that expires within the hour and renews only while you stay connected. NUVI never sees your AI account, and your AI never sees your password.

How do I disconnect it?

Settings → AI access → Connected apps → Disconnect. Removing the connector in your AI app also stops it using NUVI, but disconnecting in NUVI is the one that counts.

Which plans include it?

Every NUVI workspace, at no extra cost. Your AI app decides whether your plan with them allows custom connectors.

Can it write or send things?

Not yet, on purpose. Reading covers the questions people actually ask, like what is owed this month or who has not sent their hours, without an AI approving a week by mistake.
